The Chief Mobility & Infrastructure Officer (CMIO) is a critical leadership role for the regional council for Columbus, Ohio – the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC). In the region, the CMIO serves as a visionary lead for regional mobility, transportation, and infrastructure systems strategy and co-lead for regional development and strategic growth initiatives. The CMIO initiates new partnerships and opportunities for MORPC members and Central Ohio stakeholders with the overall goal of moving the region’s capital improvement plans forward. This role involves extensive community engagement, a focus on innovation, and use of informed and creative approaches to leading MORPC’s MPO and RTPO roles.
