Under general supervision, participate in the development and maintenance of Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP), Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP), Public Participation Plan (PPP), Active Transportation Plan (ATP), and other reports as needed; lead the mapping and data analysis activities at the MPO; assist with the MPO travel demand forecasting (TDM) model; develop recommendations and make presentations to MPO Boards, Committees and Work Groups; coordinate with consultants; perform traffic count reports; project future roadway volume; conduct studies of traffic movement, economic conditions, population density and growth, future air quality, and related research within the Waco Metropolitan Area.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in urban or regional planning, transportation planning, traffic engineering, geography, public administration, or closely related fields;
Two years‘ of increasingly responsible technical experience in the field of urban or transportation planning including at least 1 year of project management responsibility.
Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License.
Preferred: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in urban or regional planning, transportation planning, traffic engineering, geography, public administration, or closely related fields
