Under the general direction of the Office Chief for Highway System Information and Performance, a Supervising Transportation Engineer, the incumbent will manage the Office’s project portfolio and lead difficult and complex engineering work related to roadway inventory and safety data systems including the Transportation System Network Replacement (TSNR) project. Develops and deploys project management tools and skills to deliver projects on schedule and within cost and scope. The incumbent will coordinate project and performance activities with other divisions and programs including Information Technology, Transportation Asset Management, Traffic Operations, Safety Programs, Local Assistance, Maintenance, Planning, Programming, and Project Management and with external partners including the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and state and local agencies. Exceptional leadership and communications skills are fundamental to this position.
