SACOG is looking for a talented, motivated professional to join our Transportation team to lead the agency’s active transportation and other multimodal sustainable transportation initiatives.
SACOG, the Sacramento region’s Metropolitan Planning Organization, is planning and leading exciting active and sustainable mobility programs and projects that will accelerate the development of a connected, multimodal transportation network. Current priority initiatives include ongoing planning and implementation work for SACOG’s Regional Trails Network, oversight and management of the Active Transportation Planning funding programs, and collaboration of work between the innovative mobility, transit, and our new RAISE grant-funded Mobility Zones project.
This Senior Transportation Planner – Active Modes will report to SACOG’s Director of Transportation and is the senior level in the Analyst class series. Employees at this level serve as a technical expert in multiple disciplinary and/or programmatic areas using initiative and resourcefulness. The work involves a high-level of problem-solving requiring analysis of unique issues or increasingly complex problems without precedent and/or structure and formulating, presenting, and implementing strategies and recommendations for resolution.
