The Transportation Department of the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) is seeking a Transportation/Air Quality Planner I or II in Air Quality Technical Planning and Analysis to assist with technical support for the Transportation Department’s air quality planning and analysis activities.
A successful candidate should have an interest in the technical analysis of air quality as it relates to transportation. This position will support efforts to conduct technical analyses, including assisting with modeling for regional transportation conformity and multi-year emission inventories for the State Implementation Plan (SIP) development. Typical work will include database support, assisting with quality control of data, and remaining current on air-quality related legislation. Work is collaborative in nature, working not only within the NCTCOG team but also with external conformity partners, including the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA).
