The Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) is excited to share a request for proposal (RFP) for developing a Regional Housing Needs Assessment. This effort aims to develop a regional approach to addressing housing needs and leveraging existing and future opportunities. It intends to create broad housing changes while integrating housing, transportation, and economic development strategies. Though this RFP is for the Regional Housing Needs Assessment, the Regional Housing Needs Assessment will eventually lead to the future development of a Regional Housing Strategy.
DRCOG will be seeking consultant assistance to analyze data on existing housing needs, supply, and gaps. Additional analysis will include projecting future housing needs, identifying subregional and submarket variation, and exploring existing and emerging opportunities for housing related to regional transportation infrastructure investments. Phase two will consist of a thorough systems analysis to reveal where barriers prevent regional housing development and identify strategies that leverage opportunities to close the gap between regional housing needs and regional housing supply and system barriers.
