
Conference Overview
The AMPO Annual Conference is the premier event for MPOs to learn and network. It provides the opportunity to meet with over 350 MPO directors, transportation planners, and elected officials from across the country. The conference is structured into two and one-half days of sessions, with networking events every evening. During the conference, attendees are able to choose from general sessions, workshops, and mobile tours. A concurrent exhibition is held onsite during the conference, allowing opportunities to visit with industry partners and learn about new products and services.
The 2023 conference will be held September 26-29, in Cleveland, Ohio. Cleveland is “The Land” that’s easy to get to and even easier to get around in. You acknowledge that in registering for and attending this AMPO event, you agree to adhere to the cancellation policy noted below and the AMPO Event Code of Conduct.

WHAT’S INCLUDED:
Full conference registrations include all sessions, admittance into the exhibit area, two breakfasts, three luncheons, all refreshment breaks, and evening events.
NOTE:
- To receive the Member Rate, members must have their membership paid in full at the time they register to receive the special rate.

PAYMENT BY CHECK:
If you plan to pay by check, payment must be received by Friday, August 25, 2023. If payment is not received by August 25, then your registration will be canceled. Payment by check will not be available as a payment option after August 25.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Registrations, cancellations and refund requests must be submitted in writing to events@ampo.org. All cancellation requests for registrations received on or before Thursday, September 7, 2023, are subject to a $100 cancellation processing fee; approved refunds will be processed after the meeting takes place. There will be no refunds of any kind after September 7, 2023. Refunds will not be provided for no-shows. Substitutions within the same conference will be accepted without penalties. The difference between member and non-member price will be charged if a non-member replaces a member. Substitutions will be accepted with a written request to events@ampo.org. For all inquiries regarding cancellations, refunds and substitutions, please contact the AMPO Events Department at events@ampo.org. By submitting a completed registration you acknowledge that you have read and understand the cancellation policy. Please note failure to receive a confirmation letter before an event will not be grounds for a refund or credit.
IMPORTANT:
AMPO reserves the right to postpone or cancel an event if the number of registrants is insufficient; due to acts of God; or any other reason beyond AMPO’s control. In this event, we will notify all registrants by email and credit the full registration fee towards another AMPO meeting, product or service. However, any costs incurred by the registrant, such as hotel cancellation or airline penalties, are the responsibility of the registrant. Confirmation emails will be sent to attendees within two weeks of registration. However, if you have not received a confirmation email two business days prior to the meeting, and you enrolled at least two weeks prior to the meeting, contact the AMPO Events Department at events@ampo.org. Please note failure to receive a confirmation letter before an event will not be grounds for a refund.

Registrants who require assistance to participate or have special dietary requirements should contact events@ampo.org at their earliest opportunity.
MEDIA POLICY:
AMPO event photographers and videographers will be present during the 2023 AMPO Annual Conference and the photos they take and videos they record may be used as part of future promotional materials and any other purpose that AMPO deems fit. By attending the 2023 AMPO Annual Conference you give AMPO permission to use your likeness in AMPO materials.

All AMPO Annual Conference events, unless otherwise noted, will occur at the Hilton Cleveland Downtown. The hotel is in the heart of Cleveland’s vibrant downtown area. Popular attractions, dining, and entertainment are just minutes away. With contemporary guest rooms and convenient on-site amenities, the Hilton Cleveland Downtown is the perfect base for exploring Cleveland. This full-service hotel has an indoor pool, fitness center, a top-floor bar with views of Lake Erie, and two restaurants.
AMPO has secured a block of sleeping rooms at the Hilton Cleveland for $209 plus tax (currently 17.5%) per night, single/double occupancy. Guest rooms booked within the AMPO block include complimentary guest room WiFi. The hotel room reservation cut-off date is September 7, 2023. Rooms may sell out before this date, so make your reservations early! Reservations made after this date are subject to rate and room availability.
To confirm a sleeping room within the AMPO block, the reservation must be secured with a valid credit card along with a first night’s deposit, refundable up to two 2 (two) days in advance of arrival.
