The Transportation Department of the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) is seeking a Senior Transportation Planner in the Streamlined Project Delivery program to provide planning and technical expertise in support of expediting critical surface transportation projects (e.g., roadway, toll road, transit, bicycle, pedestrian) in the Dallas-Fort Worth region. The individual in this position will also manage the agency’s need for expanded responsibilities and collaboration regarding asset management, resiliency, and risk-based lifecycle transportation planning, with consideration of multiple natural and human-based environmental factors and practices stemming from federal performance management guidance. Additionally, the individual in this position will coordinate internal/external resource planning, project merit assessment, and developmental tasks associated with the preparation and submittal of State and federal discretionary grant applications. Due to the pandemic, the North Central Texas Council of Governments is currently permitting employees to work a hybrid schedule that consists of the equivalent of a minimum of two days per week in the NCTCOG offices in Arlington, Texas, and three days remotely from home within the Dallas-Fort Worth Region.
