Transportation Planner I or II

The Ithaca-Tompkins County Transportation Council (ITCTC), the Metropolitan Planning Organization for Tompkins County, is seeking a Transportation Planner I or Transportation Planner II to support regional transportation planning efforts. We are recruiting for both levels and will hire one candidate based on qualifications and experience.
This position offers the opportunity to work on projects that influence multimillion-dollar transportation investments and improve safety, mobility, sustainability, and quality of life throughout the region.
What You’ll Do
- Support transportation planning and policy initiatives across Tompkins County
- Analyze transportation data and develop recommendations
- Coordinate with local, state, and federal partners
- Advance projects related to roadway improvements, active transportation, trails, and transportation safety
- Engage with community stakeholders and elected officials
- Contribute to implementation of the region’s Long Range Transportation Plan

Qualifications
- Master, bachelor’s or associate degree + experience based on education level.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $60,000-$78,000, depending on experience and work schedule (35 or 40 hours/week)
