How Do Membership Dues Work?
Who Qualifies:
MPOs across the U.S. interested in technical issues and policies that affect the transportation planning process.
Payment:
The AMPO dues underwent an update in FY23 and resulted in the following formulas:
- Non-TMAs: (UZA population x .006) x 3%
- TMAs: (UZA population x .007) x 3%
- The 3% is a compounding interest year over year to account for inflation.
- A floor of $1,000 was also established after a stairstep protocol finished in FY25 meaning all MPOs whose dues fall below $1,000 based on the above formulas are automatically set to the floor and begin the 3% increase annually.
- A cap of $30,000 was also established.
