Regional Planner
The Northern Middlesex Council of Governments (NMCOG) is a mission-driven regional planning agency serving nine Greater Lowell communities. We partner with municipalities to address housing affordability, transportation access, sustainability, economic development, municipal service capacity, and regional coordination and collaboration. Guided by our Strategic Plan, NMCOG focuses on data-driven and implementation-oriented solutions that help communities move from plans to action. Regional Planner Salary Range: $55,000–$75,000
The Regional Planner works directly with municipalities on a wide range of local and regional planning initiatives, including housing, land use, transportation, sustainability, and economic development. This role involves research and data analysis, drafting plans and policies, supporting community engagement, and helping translate community goals into actionable strategies.
