TIP and Locally Administered Projects Program Manager

This position will oversee the MPO’s Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and the Locally Administered Projects Program (LAPP). This position will serve as the MPO’s TIP Administrator and Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and coordinate with the NCDOT to process TIP/STIP Amendments and development of new Transportation Improvement Programs. This position will also manage and coordinate federally funded, locally administered transportation projects through planning, engineering, project selection, programming, project development, completion and acceptance stages for the Capital Area MPO. Work is performed under the general supervision of a Deputy Director.
This position will be assigned tasks related to managing the MPO’s Transportation Improvement Program including quarterly amendments and air quality conformity processes; the program of locally administered projects including training, application, prioritization and programming elements; assisting local government members with project management and related duties; and tracking project implementation.
