Manager, Engagement and Communications

Lake Erie West Regional Council is seeking a creative, strategic, and relationship-driven Manager, Engagement & Communications to strengthen how we connect our work with members, partners, and the public.

This role sits at the center of our mission, translating complex regional planning, policy, and program work into compelling, clear, and purposeful communication that informs, engages, and inspires action. From elevating regional voice and visibility to building stronger awareness of Lake Erie West’s impact, this position plays a key role in shaping how our organization is understood across Northwest Ohio.

You will lead a dynamic engagement and communications approach that brings together storytelling, digital strategy, member outreach, and public visibility while helping create a more cohesive, consistent voice across programs, platforms, and audiences.

If you are energized by turning technical work into meaningful narratives, designing engagement that builds connection, and strengthening how an organization shows up publicly, this role is for you.

Education and/or experience:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, planning, public administration, or a related field.

Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in communications, outreach, engagement, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Salary and job title will be determined commensurate with experience and education. The following title and starting salary range will be considered for this position:
Manager, Engagement & Communications – $60,000 – $80,000
