Monday, September 25th
Pre-Conference Mobile Tour: Lake Erie Coastal Ohio Trail Scenic Byway and Local Projects
Participants will learn about the byway and Lake Erie Coastal Ohio Trail mobile application, a tool developed in partnership by NOACA, Erie Regional Planning Commission, US DOT, and the Ohio Department of Transportation, that provides residents and tourists with a map of the byway and descriptions of the sites along it. The post-conference mobile tour is not included in the conference registration fee. Separate registration and fee required. Tuesday, September 25 – Pre-Conference Workshops
Grant Writing Workshop
Join us for an interactive and informative workshop on federal grant applications. This workshop will equip MPOs with the latest tools and resources to enhance their grant applications and increase their chances of securing funding. Participants will explore successful applications, providing inspiration and practical examples of how to craft a compelling grant application. MPO participants will have the chance to share their experiences, approaches, and tips. Whether you are new to the grant application process or seeking to refine your strategies, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to learn from USDOT experts, engage in interactive activities, and learn from peers in the field.
Deploying Technology for a Climate Resilient Future Workshop – Presented by AMPO and ITS America
Climate change will have broad impacts on our communities, including to our transportation system and infrastructure. This event will explore what climate resiliency means in the context of transportation, the MPO role in implementing a climate resilient transportation system, and some of the technologies and tools available to help communities ensure their transportation systems are climate resilient. This session aims to foster better understanding of the types of tools and technologies available to communities that can enhance the resiliency and sustainability of their transportation systems in the face of climate-related challenges.

Post-Conference Mobile Tour: Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad Tour with Local Project Highlights
Discover the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, a tourist and recreational excursion railway that also serves as an alternative transportation service to and within Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the Ohio and Erie Canalway. During the tour, learn about NOACA’s efforts to connect the railway with downtown Cleveland. The post-conference mobile tour is not included in the conference registration fee.
