The City of Hastings, Nebraska, is seeking a versatile City Planner with excellent communication skills. Reporting to the Development Services Director, the City Planner will be instrumental in helping create a safe, attractive, and vibrant community by performing complex planning and design work for both long- and short-range community development projects. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in planning, or one of the related social or engineering sciences, and some professional experience. A master’s degree in city, regional, or urban planning in absence of experience is acceptable. Must possess a valid driver’s license. American Institute of Certified Planners certification (A.I.C.P.) is preferred. The City is offering a highly competitive salary range of $64,708 – $91,312 and is negotiable dependent upon the hired candidate’s qualifications and experience.
