Planner 2: Senior Planner

This planning position has a focus in transportation planning, more specifically the work of the Chattanooga-Hamilton County/North Georgia Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO). Our MPO is bi-state so there is a bit more complexity in our projects. Experience with US Department of Transportation (DOT) federal legislation, professional community, urban, or transportation planning projects and programming, public involvement processes, ArcGIS, and public speaking is preferred. Chattanooga is a beautiful mid-sized city with multimodal options readily accessible in our urban area and we’ve got several projects we are kicking off this year including, but not limited to a Transit Improvement Plan, Bicycle/Pedestrian Strategic Network, and the 2055 Metropolitan Transportation Plan.
