“The Owensboro-Daviess County Metropolitan Planning Organization on Thursday came to a consensus on 14 local transportation improvement projects that should be under consideration in the next state road fund budget. On the list that will be narrowed down to nine projects next week are several widening, safety, reconstruction and new route projects on state and local roads in the county. Identifying those projects is a process called for in the Strategic Highway Investment Formula for Tomorrow, or SHIFT, program, which Gov. Matt Bevin launched in 2016 as a way to reduce over-programming and provide a clear road map for future construction projects.” Read more here.
